Dark color mode (sciLexer)

Post by drspro2 »

hello,

i found out that Vips -exes run perfectly well on Ubuntu Linux inside the Wine applications.

In Linux Ubuntu ( and probably also other linux distributions ) you can install the wine application, it creates a .wine directory in the home directory , there you will have a c_drive directory, there you can put your Vip application in a separate folder, and then you have to open a terminal in that directory, and then you can run the Vip application with the command: wine vip_app.exe <enter>

the scilexer editor also behaves very well inside those applications . In my opinion Visual prolog is Very very complete, as developers we have everything we could wish. The only thing that remains is the dark colors themes for the scilexer and maybe also for the visual prolog IDE.

As mentioned in this post : viewtopic.php?t=20245
similarly i would like to create my Prolog editor with the use of sci-lexer. I already made several versions but it is still not ready because i spend some time in sizing the controls and configuring the events in the editors, and also because i have another job besides this .

for the dark themes i have tried changing the colors in the scilexer PFC though that doesnt seem to arrive in good colors

I have also tried to install the WINE application on MAC-OS though that didnt seem to work. You to install Quartz separately and after that it still doesnt work, you can execute the Vip-exe but it fails to show dialogs

Thank you for sharing your experience.

It should not be a problem to get dark theme in the sciLexer. It will be much more difficult to make the rest of an application (title bar, window frames, menus, ...) be in dark theme.
