on certain windows server machines with RDP session the webbrowser application from version 7.5 is suddenly closed by windows-os with an exception,
i would like to find what causes it,

We have unfortunately experienced exactly the same (in Citrix (practically the same as RDP)).
And we have not been able to find a solution, so we have stopped using the webBrowserControl in that context.
Furthermore, I am not certain how dedicated Microsoft is to that kind of embedding anymore. It is my understanding that the Edge browser is going to replace the Internet Explorer completely. For the Edge browser Microsoft writes (Edge Dev FAQ)

i am trying to use Mozilla in the same way, i hope that might work good
in certain aspects,
if anybody has a ready made projecth with calling of mozilla dll ctl in the same way i would appreciate that a lot, because i do not have that working yet, though i will try that soon,

in more recent versions of windows server on RDP it seems that the web browser control does work correct, without errors or sudden kills , so that is very good, im interested if anyone has experience with it
