Here is a small project that has a new control, based on split2control, but allows multiple panes arranged horizontally.
It's limited to 4 panes at the moment, but you can change the limit in the .pro file.

Here is an update that allows horizontal and vertical splits.
The example project has 3 splits in one form.

Here's a small update - it's a complete VIP7.3 project (but you may be able to use it with earlier VIP7 compilers.
