Unread post by Ferenc Nagy »

Lets go back to VIP 5. I liked its icon and bitmap editor.
TIA, Regards,

The icon editor in both Vip 7.x and Vip 5.x uses the same Windows text drawing routine. So:
  • It is not surpricing that the fonts are smoothed in the Windows way.
  • As you can see in the pictures Vip 5.x suffers from exactly the same problems.
  • The feature comes with Windows not with Visual Prolog.
We don't have any plans of removing the editor, but we don't have any plans on extending its functionality either. Though, I don't understand your facination of low-res icons and bitmaps with jagged edges and lines.
