Frank, I sent to you a file which calls information from other parts of the program : ilogObject is an object of the program. That's what does the predicate setLexerLines . Like you can see, it stores this information in the fact-variable lexerLines which will be used further in the setLexerGen pred...

Hi Frank, If you have time to study the mechanism of coloring a text with a lexer, look at the attached file. It is a form in which is added a lexer. The most interesting part for you is the "LEXER" section, and inside principally the predicate: - clearText() And naturally the whole predicates follo...

7.5 : listButton interfrence ?

Hi, The following program adds in a window a listEdit object with a selectionChangedListener. If we add something into the list of the listEdit object, and select the Index item in the list control, it triggers an event catched by the selectionChangedListener. In VIP 7.4, the Source given by the lis...

Hi,
If you want edit colored text, you should not use an editControl, but a form in which you add a custom control sciLexer.
With this new combination in VIP 7.4, you can color each part of text you want with the color you want, and also the font, and its attributes, etc. ad libitum.

Listviewcontrol item backgroundcolor

Hi I'd like to modify the background color of selected items of a listviewcontrol . Unfortunatly, it is trickier than for a treecontrol object : in that last one, nodes are objects with color properties, in a listviewcontrol object, items are not. I saw that there was another way to modify the fore ...

Yes, With VIP7.3 , the job is not easy. Like the webBrowser project of the (old) example package shows it, you can add in your window : predicates browserListener : activeXContainer::activeXEventListener. clauses browserListener(_CtrlID,DispId,DispParams,_ExcepInfo,_ArgError)=winErrors::s_ok:- ... V...

Hi Tonton, Instead of creating a Webbrowser control with the method detailed in the show event, you can add in your window by the IDE a control webBrowserControl if you work with VIP7.4. Its interface supports a webBrowser object in the interface of which you'll find a set of various properties, and...

Hi,
I will just add that I got a similar behavior when changing an antivirus. The problem was resolved by excluding the VIP applications of the fields of the antivirus work.

OK
Tests were realized on a machine with a windows 8.0 OS and on another one with a Windows 7 OS and produced the same result.
The only thing I can do is to send you this little program. You can control what I said and maybe investigate if you also get the same results than I. :?:

Hi Thomas, Thanks for your observation. We should always think to simplicity and style. Before launching memory profiler, in order to eliminate the problem of the facts, I modified the predicates handling cycles by using lists instead of facts : In attachment, I joined the heap contents and heap pro...

thread and memory release

Hi, I'm testing the robustness of a dll I would like to use on a web server. My parameters are the number of clients, the number of requests by client, and the number of cycles processing the whole requests of the whole clients. I'm using two methods : a single-threaded method, a multi-threaded meth...

RemoteDebugger.exe disconnected

Hi, Under certain conditions, the debugger is disconnected and the debugged project closed : it's impossible to debug after the predicate vpiCommonDialogs::getFileName (arity 6). The debugger is disconnected, and the debugged project is closed. I'm working under windows 8 and compile 64 bits. Here a...

Hi, this third post is espacially written for Thomas if not in holidays.... I think definitively that something is wrong between my windows 8, which runs perfectly furthermore, and the webbrowser control of VIP7.4. Like I told in the precedent posts, the behavior of 7.4 is randomly deficient....
