Yes, now I start to understand it better. Again, thanks for your patience! In my case (I have a quite big form), the intention is that the user starts at the top, and fills in data down the "page." She will proceed from control to control using the Tab-key. No accelerators. In that use-case, I suppo...

Let's say I have a simple form:

1-statick text prompt
2-edit control for input
3- static text prompt
4-edit control for input.

The, the visit-order wil be 1,2,3 and 4 ?

tabstops and visit order

I notice a strange behaviour in a form with some static texts and several types of controls. When I press resource/tabstops, the correct marking is displayed: all the static texts have a 'minus,' and all the data-controls a 'plus.' But when I press resource/visit order, all the static texts are also...

I'm very grateful for private tuition!
Those if's and else's were veird, so I opted for your initialControls-suggestion. Much cleaner.

I haven't programmed since 2007 (VIP 7.1), so I realize it's time to study the new features. I'll better start with the core class! javascript:emoticon(':lol:')

If-then-else....again!

I have reviewed our June 2007-discussion, but I keep getting syntax errors (150) as indicated below: ... ... CTL_LST = [hvaSkjedde_ctl, mistenkt_skade_ctl,etiologi_ctl,skader_ctl,tiltak_ctl,rutiner_ctl], foreach CTL = list::getMember_nd(CTL_LST) do postAction({ :- if CTL = skader_ctl,! then CTL:inse...

List type controls

Hi: some basic Windows knowledge needed:

I need a multi-choice listBox. As far as I can see in the properties-list, there's no way it can be intiially hidden as a box, and then dropped down to a desired length? In case not, it will take quite some room in a form or dialog.

Yeah, this works fine! Thanks, Thomas. (new() in the formwindow pro. file) ..... ..... generatedInitialize(), CTL_LST = [hvaSkjedde_ctl, mistenkt_skade_ctl], % plus many more! foreach CTL = list::getMember_nd( CTL_LST ) do postAction({ :- CTL :wrapMode := sciLexer_native::sc_wrap_word }) end foreach.

Hm...let me just summarize: I'll have many sciLexer controls in the form-window, so I'll have to call postAction on all of them: % the form-window.pro-file: ..... new() :- ... generatedInitialize(), postAction({ :- oneOfMyNamedSciLexerControls_ctl :wrapMode := sciLexer_native::sc_wrap_word }), */......

sciLexer control properties

I've placed a sciLexer custom control in a form-window. There are so many properties, but apart from X, Y, Height, Width and Font, the rest seem to have no effect. The long list of properties with <default> values cause a runtime-error if I try to change them. What I'd really like, is setting word-w...

date control

I'm currently creating a form window and need a date control. But date control isn't an option in the custom-control menu in the formwindow-editor. ("Choose class name for custom control"). Also strange: when I browse the pfc/gui/controls-directory from within my project window, the date control dir...

I decided to just ditch the message window and use a sciLexer editor instead.
