Re: Loading a bmp and jpg to a dialog

Thanks again to wonderful contributing experts of the forum. I just wanted to add a feedback on the outcome of loading the files by the two different methods. using setImageFile : (string FileName) as suggested by Gukalov was easier and more straightforward than using complicated pict := vpi::pictLo...

Re: Loading a bmp and jpg to a dialog

Thanks Harrison, I added the imageControl pack and it shows up under the project pfc directory. But somehow the program does not recognize "setImageFile (FileName)". Instead of that I am using pict := vpi::pictLoad("yyy.bmp"), which works fine but every now and then it becomes unstable and does not ...

Re: Loading a bmp and jpg to a dialog

Thank you. I tried to use what you suggested : setImageFile : (string FileName). but unfortunately I get an error "undeclared identifier". Probably I am not using the full nomenclature.

Thanks

Loading a bmp and jpg to a dialog

Hello, I am using an OK button to go from one dialog A to dialog B. Dialog B uses the following commands to load a .bmp and .jpg files to the screen. Most of the times there is no problem, but every now and then dialog B fails to load the .bmp file (it always happen to .bmp not .jpg). The file sizes...

OR Logical Operator

I would appreciate if anyone can suggest proper punctuation for an OR operator. DeBoer Guide suggests";" but using that causes error. In the example below the following predicate succeeds if xpositive2(_,1,9) AND xpositive2(_,4,11) both are true. If the intention is for the predicate to succeed if x...

Re: Send to Background-Bring to Top

Sorry Thomas, I thought I am going to march through it easily but... I changed both dialogs to forms and followed the instructions. When I call (form b) from (form a) by clicking OK, using the following clauses, since (form a) has no idea about Creator, I get: error e603 The flow pattern '(i,o)' doe...

Re: Send to Background-Bring to Top

Thank you Thomas and Harrison, I will follow your instructions to see if it helps. In response to Thomas's question. The "cancel" button on dialog B cancel's the program as it suppose to do and brings Dialog A, but reinitializes it to default values. predicates onCancelClick : button::clickResponder...

Re: Send to Background-Bring to Top

You are right eventually I might try something like that. As is dialog B does not have any functionality, it only lists a easy to understand report in plain English from user's input by pulling the text from a database generated/captured based on user's input. In addition it dynamically lists the hi...

Re: Send to Background-Bring to Top

Thanks again Harrison. Since the intention is what if analysis, there might be more than 4 or five instances of dialog B at a time. So when I set it as invisible they will remain invisible forever. Alternatively I have tried the following: predicates onCancelClick : button::clickResponder. clauses o...
