In fact, what I want to know is if there's another way to access a SQL server than ODBC.

Our internet application uses a huge SQL base, and we need more efficiency and speed than odbc can offer us. We tested it, it works well but it's too slow, compared to a SQL process on a webserver.

IsApi : How to get client IP

Hello everybody, and happy new year !! I'm now working on an isapi dll, but I can't get the client IP : I understood that this IP was in the server variable, so I modified the IsApi example as follow : http_ExtensionProc( ECB ) = isApi5x::hse_STATUS_SUCCESS :- html_CreatePage(ECB, string8::mapFromSt...

Thank you Thomas,

In fact I found another workaround : I create a single environnement variable with all that I want with setEnvironmentBlock, then the child process splits it with a separator.

You're welcome Thomas :D

By the way, I solved my problem by using environment_native::setEnvironmentVariable, it works fine.

setEnvironmentBlock bug ?

Hi ! The useExe::setEnvironmentBlock has a strange behaviour : I want to specify some environment variables for a small program launched by another, and I can't understand how setEnvironmentBlock works: Here is my code : launch_UserCGI_1(Name, Texte):- VarName = concat("ClientNAME=", Name), VarText ...

Hi Thomas !

The .bat was launched by a CGI call.
But we find a simple solution to see the console on the remote machine : we use Microsoft Remote Desktop, and we can now do everything we wanted.

CGI : How to run an exe (GUI) ?

Hi ! I want to run an application, with CGI. The exemple with hanoi's tower is perfect, it's clear and it's works. But I want to do something a little more complicated : I want to run another program, with the first one (cgi). Combining the exemple CallProcess and CGI is fine : The two applications ...

Hi Thomas, If the EXE file is in C:\.....\My Prog and the dll is in C:\.....\My Prog\Dll then it should work. (At least it works for me (without setting paths or anything)). It was C:\...My Prog\Exe and C:\...My Prog\Exe\Dll, and bad luck for me, it didn't work. So I'll try Dominique Solution. Hi Do...

Moving a DLL

Hi ! My program uses a dynamic Dll called IDMC.dll (I used myDLLDynamic as exemple). My project contains a folder IDMC with an export.cl and an exportDyn.i. I also have a IDMC.pro wich resolve the Dll externally. I'd like to move the DLL from "My prog\exe" to "My prog\exe\Dll". I tried with changing...

Thread and critical section

Hi everybody ! I'm working on an application with multithreading, and in order to be sure that my code is safe, I want to use critical section. I've read in an old post of the forum, that the compound operation like : x := x+1 retractAll(determ_fct(_)), assert(determ_fct(A)) must be protected. I jus...

Hi Gildas !

setBackgroundPictureFromRes works fine, thanks a lot !
Too bad for the multiline eLabel, I'll do as Tonton Luc suggested... It's not a big deal :D

Anyway good job for the ui_ext pack, it is really great ! Thanks again !
