Formatted quoted String

Unread post by daveplummermd » 6 May 2012 18:32

Guys

How do I format a quoted string? (to include the quotations marks in the output).

old method (VIP5.2):

Code: Select all

..... format(FormatedString," I want this in quotes : \34%\34",Var), ...
Now when I use (VIP 7.3):

Code: Select all

... FormatedString=string:format(" I want this in quotes : \34%\34",Var), ...
it notes that \34 is an invalid escape sequence.

What is the proper escape sequence? More generally, where can I review a listing of acceptable
escape sequences?

Thanks in advance

Yes, strings are in Unicode. The syntax of string literals are described in Language Reference: String Literals.
