Predicates consulted from files

Unread post by vjoer » 28 Feb 2012 10:05

Hello

Can Visual Prolog read predicates definition from external files with consult for example?

I am thinking of a software that can create predicates at run time, save them to external files, and then load them from the files later on.

Thanks

Not directly.

But you can use an interpreter for such matters.

Visual Prolog have the PIE (Prolog Interpreter Engine) package. And it can be used for such things.

This is fully illustrated in the PIE program which is as an example (Help -> Install Examples ...).

See also Using PIE in a program (for example for automation).
