Hi Tonton, I work with 64 bits windows all the time. You mean windows 7? Before I switched to 8 it worked there as well. Haven't updated the curl dll for quite some time though. I use libcurl/7.20.1 OpenSSL/0.9.8n zlib/1.2.5 This reminds me that perhaps OpenSSL needs to be updated? Heartbleed??? I d...

I'm afraid not.
The only thing I can think of is post the content from the client to a server and get it from there.
But this is getting outside the scope of this forum.

This can be done with a separate utility which pulls the page content from the server.
Example utilities are wget and curl. There exists a command line version of both.
I have also provided a curl based package that can be included natively (via dll's) in a VIP 7 program.

Well, it's a bit of guesswork from my side but please use something like shell_api::shellExecute(Hwnd, "open", "http://discuss.visual-prolog.com", "", "", windowsApi::sw_shownormal) Instead of shell_api::shellExecute(Hwnd, "open", "http://discuss.visual-prolog.com", "", "", windowsApi::sw_hide) in p...

Tried 7402. However I still have to prestart Firefox in order for the "Discussion Forum" icon to open this forum.
Would you please consider the use of windowsApi::sw_shownormal in a following version?
As far as I can see it does no harm when other Browsers are made "standard".
Thanks,

Re: Text pad from IDE

Yes, I could invoke the TextPad from IDE. I use it as an alternative of Find in Files. Now I may see the results in color. The ugliest problem is the wrapping of the long strings. The wrapping leaves unclosed quotes before the newline and unopened ones after them. Nice! I use two other code formatt...

Ferenc, super!
I must admit that I'm beginning to appreciate formatting tools lately.
Did you succeed in invoking it from within the IDE?
Thanks,

Interesting! This is especially important if someone else has to read and understand your code. Unfortunately to make such a utility looks like a rather big project to me. I think the philosophy of PDC is that the classes are small enough to keep the code readable without elaborate formatting and I ...

constants dateOffset_16010101 = 584389. % = dt::dateToOffset(1601, 1, 1) clauses DateObj = time::newDate(1601, 1, Vip5DateOffset - dateOffset_16010101) Works like a charm for date_offsets. The equivalent for minute_offsets should be constants minuteOffset_16010101 = 841520160. clauses MinuteObj = t...

Hi Dave, wow! I would possibly need your second option: translating a dateOffset to a timeobject. Problem is, I don't follow all the conversions (yet) :oops: Don't you exceed the integer boundaries? All I have is a dateOffset since 1/1/1. Example 2013/04/28 relates to dateOffset 734986 in Vip 5. Vip...

Thanks.
If I use a
Time = gmtTime::new(initValue),
should initValue then be an unsigned64 or an unsigned64_struct like I think it used to be?

Never mind. I was trying
Date = time::new(0,0,150597,0,0,0),
which results in a runtime error.
But this must be a better approach.

vpi date convert class

I think it is time to develop a new date convert class for conversion between vip 5 and vip 7 date/time format. The old class is more than obsolete since Vip 7.4 and is also confusing. Internal vip 5 format: 32 bit integer representing the number of minutes since 1/1/1 Internal vip 7 format: 64 bit ...
