Just to be sure: this wont't work in the current VP 7.1?

Much more elegant indeed! I like that of course :D One more reason to update the package. A large number of curl API's is not implemented yet, namely the multithreading ones (not necessary) and the secure connection ones (SSL etc., not needed in my case). Over the years I did not spend too much time...

Just for my curiousity..
For a long time now, I am about  to enhance/update the VPcURL package which uses an off the shelf libcurl dll.
Would this be the sort of mechanism suitable to wrap the VPcURL package? Would maintenance of the package become easier?
Thanks,

I don't get this error but then I'm on 7103 CE.
The improvements from 7.0 to 7.1 are very slick.
I use scintilla for the line-wrap feature. As far as I know this is not availble with the standard controls.

Do getfont and setfont still work with vpi Windows? In order to make the font bold for instance, during ownerdraw, I used Cwin = window::convertVPIWin2Window(CtlWin), Font = CWin:getFont(), _ = vpi::fontGetAttrs(Font, _, FontSize), FontB = vpi::fontSetAttrs(Font, [fs_bold], FontSize), Cwin:setFont(F...

Sorry, I was too quick.
The following works like in old times:

Code: Select all

   listboxHandler(_Win,e_OwnerMeasureItem(_Ctltype,_CtlId,_ItemID,_Data)) = Size :-         Size = bit::bitleft(25, 16) + 0, !.

To continue this subject, I can now (7103) see the ownerdrawmeasureitem event coming in using the following code: clauses new(Parent):- formWindow::new(Parent), generatedInitialize(), listbox_ctl:setState([wsf_ownerdraw]), setSubclassHandler(listboxhandler, false), listbox_ctl:addList(["1","2","3","4...

In VP5, the dt_offset_to_date() function gives week 1 for 2007/12/31 which is apparently right as you say. Most peculiar!

Gildas, Well, without the additional investment of PDC (thanks Thomas!) it would have taken another year or so to get to the maturity it has now. I was thinking that you could use VPcURL to connect to a server for registry and initial connection of two or more of your clients/servers. For those who ...

VPcURL package.

Note: for this package to work, you need Vip 7.2 and on Windows 7 you need 7.3. This package only compiles cleanly with 7.3. Here are some recommendations how to incorporate VPcURL in your program . This description is also included in the zip-file. Dll-s are not included due to upload size limitati...

Thanks a lot Chan,
Fortunately I don't use ownerdraw in the project I'm currently working on.
Otherwise I use it a lot.
Given the time, I have to find out if the new 7.1 better supports ownerdraw.

Re:

Hello Chan, Thanks for the workaround. It works when the Manifest is turned off. Problem still exists when Manifest is used. In 7.1 this workaround is no longer needed for non-Manifest so it seems. In case of Manifest it looks like the dropdown number of rows is about 30 in my case. Regarding the ow...

Only if you find a PC client which supports Webmail, a browser will not do this.
SMAPI uses a dll on the PC.
Both Outlook (Express) and Thunderbird support SMAPI via SMTP.
That is all I know.
