Perhaps this link helps: http://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/competitors.html
I know that curl and wget are also available as command line utilities.

I think you should treat the drop down box as a if it were a list box regarding the height.

I have something similar, but at run time.
I use a /log flag and when that is on, things like logging will become active.
More run time code but independent of the IDE.

Tonton,
- after all, it is probably not a good idea to use a try/catch with VPcURL since curl throws no errors.
- I think the DELE only sets a delete flag. This should be followed by a command something like PURGE to actually delete.

OK, it was just a hint.
I feel such a library could take the sting out of VPcURL with all it's call-backs.

promise library

A promise library makes the sequencing of multythreading, delays, io and the like much more declarative (and thus much more fun 8-) ). Quite a number of promise libraries is emerging lately. Examples are Q and RSVP. Would be nice if there were to be an equivalent library in the PFC, or is there alre...

Great! You did it!
Long time ago, I made an automatic IMAP mail client along the same line - using PHP libraries. I also remember that required a lot of low level coding. Unavoidable, I'm afraid.
But once it works, it's cool 8-)

Yes indeed. The output of VPcURL is 'raw'. One has to apply some knowledge about the nature of the output. Curl nor VPcURL has an automatic detection mechanism for for instance the code page or whether the output is binary or not. 'Ordinary' http pages consist of one single string - that being more ...

Could be the POP3 server output will contain more than one string. Or perhaps you need to get the body in a second step. From VPcURL.i: getOutput : () -> string. % the budget version (ANSI presumed) getOutput : (codePage) -> string_list. getOutputBin : () -> binary. So try the other getOutputs. If y...

Hi Tonton,
just two remarks.
- nice touch adding the try/catch !
- it is not advisable to do so many unchecked converts since VIPcURL latest version supports binary strings. Perhaps using those helps.
Regards.

I have vip 7.5 projects in dropbox directories on both my desktop and my laptop.. This works very well, but it is not advisable to have the same project open on both PCs at the same time. Also, if you switch from one PC to the other you must wait sufficient time for dropbox to ripple through the lat...

That link is broken apparently. Nothing happens. Then, I opened json (open core, json), recompiled and subsequently I could use the intelligent predicate completion. That gave me an idea of the available predicates. What I'm looking for is a way to encode facts into JSON. A minor thing: while experim...

How do I access the class documentation?
Thanks,

Thanks, next questions:
- the JSON package - where do I find information?
- source control repository in the tools menu - what type of source control package is that?
