Guys

Thanks for these very helpful replies. I always learn stuff beyond the scope of the initial question.

BTW...what is with all the "term paper" crap on the board.....can this be removed or otherwise cleaned up?

Thanks again

Tonton Thanks so much. When code entered exactly as you outlined, the compiler complains that the return value for the eventhandler "subEH" is not fully bound. clauses new(Parent) :- dialog::new(Parent), generatedInitialize(), pushButton_ctl:setSubClassHandler(subEH,false) . predicates subEH : eHand...

"onPushButtonMouseEnter" event not detected

Guys I am trying to detect a mouse over a dialog push button. I use the following: predicates onPushButtonMouseEnter : window::mouseEnterListener. clauses onPushButtonMouseEnter(_, _, _Flags):- vpiCommonDialogs::note("entered"), !. Should this detect a mouse-over-button and fire the clause? Thanks i...

General Window Constructions

Folks I am trying to simply open a window that does nothing! These attempts fail. onFileNewWindow(_Source, _MenuTag):- TaskWindow=vpi::getTaskWindow(), Win=vpi::winCreate(w_TopLevel,vpiDomains::rct(0,0,100,100),"Yep",vpiDomains::noMenu,TaskWindow,[],handler_eh,0), !. and... onFileNewWindow(_Source, ...

Ben I am so close. Now I can not see how your "get_meu" would work. I have a menu for the Taskwindow. Its attributes include "id_TaskMenu" But the code will not comiple onMouseDown(Source, Point, _ShiftControlAlt, _Button):- Menu=resid(vpiDomains::id_TaskMenu), This:menupopup(Menu,Point,vpiDomains::...

how to popup menu?

Guys

How do I get a Menu, sat the the task window menu, as a popup. I have scourd the examples without discovering the answer.

Code: Select all

Menu=vpiDomains::resMenu(9011),  % 9011 is taskwindow menu
what code comes next, just to pop it up, not to handle the menu choice?

thanks

Thanks so much.

Wen you initially inserted the windowsWithDialog into the project tree, was it declared as a "package in a new package" ?

In which file (*.pack or *.ph" or both or others) should the include statement appear?
I will insert manually to see if that works.

btw..I have done "reBuild all" both before and after removal, and re adding the childDialog class, no no avail.

thanks for reply

Working with Grid Example ...unable to replicate

Guys I am attempting to learn the nuances of the vpiGrid by replicating the code found in "Examples" distributed with VIP7.4 PE I have started a new project, mad, an identical "module" to customControls. "1.jg" represents my project tree. Then I am confused. In your example there is a new package, "...

Thank you for your reply.

I am having more difficult time retrieving the the content that was generated on the client side, say for instance, content written by client side execution of a script that generates text.

Do you have any other tricks for this circumstance?

Guys

Does anyone use the WebBrowser control?

I have been working for months to find a way to detect the HTML within a browser, with no luck.

Is it possible?

Thanks
