Re: Web Hosting Provider

Thank you, we are reviewing different options. Since the users will be mostly member of the medical community, as you mentioned the security and integrity of the site is crucial. Therefore we might settle just for non-web applications.

Best regards

Re: Web Hosting Provider

Hi,
In response to your question, unfortunately my provider uses Linux machine. For me the best option is to change my provider that offer Windows environment. So far no luck.

Re: Web Hosting Provider

Thank you Thomas. In regards to your following comment: 2-A Visual Prolog program in itself does not require any global installations, it is simply a program that will run from any directory (provided the runtime DLLs are also in that directory). To make sure if I understand correctly, when you refe...

Web Hosting Provider

Hello, I contacted my web hosting provider and inquired if Visual Prolog .exe files can be uploaded and run on their site. I remember several years ago web hosting providers used to install Windows extension and running FrontPage/CGI applications was not a problem. The following was their response: ...

Re: Loading a bmp and jpg to a dialog

Thanks again to wonderful contributing experts of the forum. I just wanted to add a feedback on the outcome of loading the files by the two different methods. using setImageFile : (string FileName) as suggested by Gukalov was easier and more straightforward than using complicated pict := vpi::pictLo...

Re: Loading a bmp and jpg to a dialog

Thanks Harrison, I added the imageControl pack and it shows up under the project pfc directory. But somehow the program does not recognize "setImageFile (FileName)". Instead of that I am using pict := vpi::pictLoad("yyy.bmp"), which works fine but every now and then it becomes un...

Re: Loading a bmp and jpg to a dialog

Thank you. I tried to use what you suggested : setImageFile : (string FileName). but unfortunately I get an error "undeclared identifier". Probably I am not using the full nomenclature.

Thanks

Loading a bmp and jpg to a dialog

Hello, I am using an OK button to go from one dialog A to dialog B. Dialog B uses the following commands to load a .bmp and .jpg files to the screen. Most of the times there is no problem, but every now and then dialog B fails to load the .bmp file (it always happen to .bmp not .jpg). The file sizes...

OR Logical Operator

I would appreciate if anyone can suggest proper punctuation for an OR operator. DeBoer Guide suggests";" but using that causes error. In the example below the following predicate succeeds if xpositive2(_,1,9) AND xpositive2(_,4,11) both are true. If the intention is for the predicate to su...
