VIP 7.4

Hello PDC,
I have seen that there were some changes in the WIKI regarding VIP 7.4.
When will VIP 7.4 be delivered and can you tell us about new features?

Kind regards

Thank you, Tonton,

:D That works now.

Code: Select all

predicates     onTreeControlShow : window::showListener. clauses     onTreeControlShow(_Source, _Data):-        gui_native::keybd_event(gui_native::vk_tab,0,0,0).

Thank you Paul, I have added: predicates onShow : window::showListener. clauses onShow(_Source, _Data) :- treeControl_ctl:setFocus(). and predicates onTreeControlShow : window::showListener. clauses onTreeControlShow(_Source, _Data):- treeControl_ctl:setFocus(). But there is no effect in WIn 7.

Thank you, Artem. Yes, when I press the tab (or Alt button) the rectangle appears. As far as I can see there is no other control in the dialog: new(Parent):- dialog::new(Parent), generatedInitialize(). .... generatedInitialize():- setFont(vpi::fontCreateByName("Tahoma", 8)), setText("TestDialog"), s...

Different behaviour of TreeControl between XP and Win 7

Hello, I have compared the behaviour of the new treeControl with Windows XP and Windows 7. I have tested the behaviour of the control when clicking on a tree item. Normally there should be a marker e.g. a dotted rectangle, as shown in the treeControl example of PDC. In XP erverything runs fine, but ...

Hello Thomas,

will there be a patch for this bug soon?

The work around would be a lot of additional work for me.

Thanks

Hello Paul,

I know this 99xx problem. If you do not use setFont, you will not get a crash.

I know also the memory problem but from 7.2 on it works really fine.

I had discussed it with Yuri here:

Interval trees in VIP

Hello, Has anybody experience with the implementation of intervaL trees in VIP? Interval trees allow one to efficiently find all intervals that overlap with any given interval or point. It is often used for windowing queries, for example, to find all roads on a computerized map inside a rectangular ...

Knowledge base for 7.2

Hello PDC,

not a big issue, but if I select version 7.2 7201 in the knowledge base I get lots of entries that have been already fixed in 7.1.

tryToTerm of objects: Bug or feature?

Hello, This code raises an access violation. The classes time/window are only examples. T=time::new(), S=toString(T), I=tryToTerm (window,S), R=I:getOuterRect(), I am not quite sure if this should be. In my opinion the tryTo Term predicate should not succeed. Regards Roland
